The goal of the game is to complete challenges that are placed within a limited amount of time. In Squad Leader, it is possible to be a Sniper, a Pilot, a Medic, or even a Sniper who is also a Medic.Once a team member picks up a weapon, they can complete a challenge by using the weapons to shoot down enemy players on the opposing team. The goal is to shoot down all enemies with the weapon so the rest of the team can complete the challenge. The player is only able to use the weapons in a limited number of times before it needs to be reloaded or replaced. The enemy will not die until all weapons have been used.The game's different objectives require different strategies. Some of the tasks include assassinating opponents, stealing the enemy's vehicle, or taking out their defenses. Choosing th e right objective for the player is crucial to how well the player can perform. There are challenges that involve four different types of weapons and each one of them has their own requirements and skills that must be considered.For example, the Sniper challenges would involve firing their weapon at an enemy who is moving across the map. An example would be an enemy that is crawling across the sand dunes and a bullet would need to go through him in order to complete the challenge. A Sniper has to be quick and accurate to hit the enemy. If the bullet misses, it must be reloaded in order to continue the challenge. The same goes for other challenges that involve hitting an enemy from a distance.For the Medic, there are challenges that would require them to save a player from an enemy's grenade. They have to revive aplayer by using their tranquilizer. There are other challenges that involve players staying in a certain area to prevent the enemy from reaching the extraction point. These include health and ammo drop that the enemies must not reach. The Medic must heal the player and return them to full health as quickly as possible.Team support is important in the multiplayer shooter for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 because it allows players to connect with one another when using one of the weapons that are available. For example, if the Sniper kills an enemy while his Medic is healing an opponent, the Sniper would get all of the points. This would allow the Sniper to keep playing for more points or allow the Medic to kill the enemy.The party mode allows the player to play against the computer or friends. To participate in the party mode, the player must take advantage of the four different weapons that are available. When in the party mode, the player is able to join in on challenges. The player would be able to get a score for each round that they complete and any member of the team could become the leader if there is more than one player.The game is highly fun and offers a variety of different types of challenges for players to work through.
